We built 28 automation rules across our project sheets. The most impactful was an approval workflow for project change requests. When a team member submitted a change request via a Smartsheet form, the automation routed it to the project manager for review, then to the sponsor for approval if the budget impact exceeded $5,000, and finally updated the project plan with the approved changes. Our executive dashboard became the single most valuable artifact in our Smartsheet deployment.
