3.2 Scores Are Based on Testing

Our ratings are calculated across 10 weighted criteria (Ease of Use, Features, Value for Money, Customer Support, Integrations, Security, Scalability, Mobile Experience, Reporting, and Overall Value). These scores come from hands-on evaluation, not revenue potential. A tool paying 50% commission and a tool paying 0% commission are evaluated identically.

3.3 Rankings Are Editorial Decisions

In our ranked guides (e.g., "Best CRM Software"), tool placement is determined by editorial judgment about overall quality, versatility, and value for the target audience. Commission rates play zero role in ranking decisions. Our #1 pick in any guide is the tool we genuinely believe is best for most users, not the one that pays the highest commission.

3.4 We Review Tools Without Affiliate Programs

If a tool is worth reviewing for our audience, we review it regardless of affiliate availability. Our database includes tools with no affiliate program, tools with inactive programs, and tools where we have chosen not to join the program. These tools receive the same depth of analysis and fair scoring.

3.5 Negative Content Is Published

We publish honest assessments including significant drawbacks, limitations, and explicit "who should NOT use this" sections. If a tool has problems, we report them — including for our highest-commission partners.
